With the generous invitation of the Director Jeroen Maes, Hyperopia Projects has been invited to curate an exhibition at Glazenhuis, the Flemish Centre for Contemporary Glass Art. Featuring the work of 21 international artists, Whereabouts explores how glass artists navigate the displacement of their craft in contemporary practice with processes that embrace unorthodox methodologies of reconfiguration, disembodiment, and subversive misappropriation. Hyperopia Projects will introduce the exhibition at the opening on March 26th.

EMANCIPATION
June 9-18, 2016 | Market Street Storefronts | Corning, NY
Curated by Yuka Otani, this exhibition exclusively features artworks that derive inspirations from properties of glass, but are executed without involving actual glass, suggesting that the possibilities of glass as a creative medium may not only reside in the material itself but also in its metaphorical and conceptual planes. This exhibition will coincide with the 2016 Glass Art Society Conference.
